The Benidorm Plaza Hotel is housed in a contemporary, Art Deco-inspired, 15-storey curved tower, building in 1997. There is also an adjoining 9-storey block with central clock tower. The hotel’s multi-coloured decoration and exquisite design make it one of the most original properties in Benidorm. The smartly appointed lobby has a seating area arranged around a large palm tree growing under the atrium. The 226 guestrooms are decorated in an attractive yet understated Spanish style and are well equipped. All of them have balconies. The hotel’s pool (heated from November to April) has a tiled surround crowded with tables and chairs, as well as a modest supply of loungers and thatched parasols on the terrace to one side. There’s also a solarium on the 17th floor, from which guests have a breath-taking view of the city as well as the beautiful bay. The restaurant offers a Continental breakfast every morning and an Mediterranean buffet for lunch and dinner, using fresh seasonal ingredients whenever possible.
